You have to insert a airline tube to the top of the U tube, and suck out all the air so it could be replaced with water. Make sure there is no accumulated air buble in that tube for you will be missing siphon when you wake up. You can shake and tap the tube to get the small air bubble out. The big ones you just have to suck it out first.
