Gfo reactor start up help

I am starting up my new GFO reactor and the calculator on BRS indicates 1.17 cups or 18 tablespoons. Jason told me to sart at aprox 1/4 cup and build up? Ok......I'm scared........what say you? Bubba

Start slow and build up. You can shock a system by the drop in phosphates level if it is quick.

+1.....add a little at a time......your SPS if you have any will probably take a week or 2 to adjust....so if you get little to no polpy extension on them for a few days dont freakout....
