I believe this is a Giant Hairy Mushroom (Rhodactis Indosinensis). If I'm wrong correct me. At first I thought Ricordia but I don't think thats it.

I have had it for 6 months and it seems to be doing great. Before everyone yells at me about gettting something I did not research it came with other livestock as a package deal.

At night if fed it will close up like an anemone. Does not seem to be aggressive.

Anyone have any experience with these guys? Anything I need to look out for other than the the fact it seems to be gettting large. I believe it has maxed out at around 7" diameter.

It's 30" deep under 400w halides. I wondered about getting more color by raising it up but it's too big. In the sand it will stay.

I have one just like it but it's only about 5" or so. Ive had it for over a year now. I don't do anything special with it and it's been healthy and growing.

Looks like the one in my buddy's tank... he really never does anything special for it. sucker got HUGE, like 10"+ and one day split... now he has 2 of them that are like 6"+! i keep trying to talk him into giving me one! lol

the thing is awesome btw

I have two of them, and they're giant. No special care required.

Mine have never split though. I didnt even know that was possible!
