Just curious, looks like small netting, most fish are at least an inch in diameter, minus some gobies and Blennies are smaller, but for most fish I’m sure 1” netting would work , I made custom acrylic lids on my reef to keep the eel in ,4” perimeter only,

It's 1/4 clear netting. I had a hectors goby get through 1/2". Granted it's a small fish and 1" would work fine for bigger fish but the light loss is supposedly less than 5%
