I had some of these back in the day when i kept tanks and i really liked them. They add a nice touch to the tank and are very easy to maintain. Do any of you have some? Seems every fish store i talk to has no idea what im talking about when i say money plant.. so i had to look up another name for it, aka. Halimeda. Ive been to three stores so far and none have any or ever carry it. I had to end up ordering some online unfortunately. Does anyone here have any, and what do you think of it? Also, i have an LED light now for my 24" inch tank, that should produce enough light for the plant shouldnt it?

I had some in my old tank but I got rid of it when I started keeping a lot of SPS. Halimeda seemed to take up a lot of calcium when I was keeping it, and I wanted the SPS to get the calcium.

i dont have any corrals.. or plan to get any, but when i get my hali should i start dosing calcium? i dont remember because its been so long, but i dont think i did back in the day when i had some. Would it be okay to have the hali and just leave the tank the way it is?

I'm not at a computer so I can't see anything but if it's the same money plant I think your talking about then you can find them at almost any asian mart in town. They sell that stuff like salt and pepper.

Most people know it as Halimeda. I have never heard of it as a money plant.
