I have a bucket of salt that has gotten hard. I can barely chip it up with a knife. Any suggestions on how to get the salt into a usable form?

Dump it into a roughneck container and hit it with a baby sledge.
Replace in bucket. The larger chunks will dissolve when you place them in water.

Baby sledge or rubber mallet have both worked for me in the past. I've read a couple of forum posts that say "rock hard" salt shouldn't be used but I've never had any issues. Apparenlty some of the trace elements can bind together making them unavailable to corals even if they dissolve.

Also been there. Water was milky but cleared up after mixing.

I used a hammer and screwdriver.... lol
