Recently got back from Hawaii. It was awesome of course. I stopped by the local aquarium as usual when I travel which was pretty cool. But I’ve got to tell y’all, I’ve been to a lot of aquariums and none of them can touch Georgia although Hawaii has nice coral displays. I have a few pics attached. I also did some snorkeling. Most of the reef where i was was mostly dead, very few yellow tangs. The only living coral i saw on the reef were encrusting monti’s and pink stylo’s. I did see a white tip so that was pretty exciting.IMG_9167.jpeg

Were you only on Oahu in the Waikiki area, or were you able to hit other parts of Oahu/other islands during your visit?

If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly suggest the Tennessee aquarium in Chattanooga. As much as I love the GA aquarium, it’s laid out extremely poorly imo. The impressiveness of the exhibits help make up for it, but it’s still not a very “flowing” experience. I grew up going to the Tennessee one a few times a week over the summers for a few years, and still enjoy going back to it as an adult.
