Help me with my phosphates

Well I did a 20g water change this morning and it looks a tad lighter but I really need to be doing like 40-50g water changes at a time to really make a dent and my brute bin I use for SW only holds 32g or so and I don't fill it all the way up


I'll do another 20-25g change tomorrow in the meantime I'll look around for bigger water bins the system I use to change water I don't carry any buckets but it isn't big enough for my system I'm seeing now

I have the opposite issue... nitrates 100+ and no phosphate unless I dose..

so i was thinking... and if you give me some phosphate, I'll trade you some nitrates!?!?!? Win Win! P

I would bet there is phosphate in your system. Maybe not soluble, so you can’t measure it, but it’s likely in there. Precipitated onto rocks, gravel, pumps or heaters perhaps?

Months ago, Phosphate-E helped me get mine under control. Didn’t affect the chaeto. I used less than what the instructions prescribed.
