Not really my argument but that looks to be a link to a 64 oz bottle of Tech M with a picture of a can of Turbo Strontium. I looked for Tech M in dry form when I tried this treatment but could never find it.

BTW, I tried the Tech M treatment on my system and will never do that again. I lost 2 Acro colonies, a pipe organ colony and several others that bleached but recovered. In the end, only the Briopsis in the well lit areas were impacted, that in the low lit areas was not touched.

Schwaggs, you are correct. It shows Turbo Strontium which is a powder.

The description is of a "64 oz BOTTLE" (not a jar) The 64 oz size is indeed a bottle and is indeed liquid.

Kent Tech M does not come in any other form.

If somebody used "crystals" it was some other brand.

I have some killer bryopsis (Chris, you've seen it) and some form of hair algae, but it doesn't grow or spread for some reason. I have a 115G display with a 30 sump/fuge and all of three small fish in there. I don't feed all that much, and it's been two months since I needed to empty my skimmer cup. I don't think this stuff needs excess nutrients to thrive.

I am waiting until I get the new tank setup before I try to eradicate it. I have a couple bottle of Tech M, but need to get a good Mag test kit first. It's just a thought, but if the OP were to stop feeding the algae sheets, wouldn't the herbivores take out some of that stuff? I've been counting on that to help me in the fight once I actually start adding fish to my tank again.

I dosed it from my normal level of 1300ish up to around 1600 (I can't remember the exact points without checking my log book) over 3 weeks.

On a positive note, the areas where the treatment eradicated the HA, it never came back. Areas where herbivores mowed it down, it usually comes back eventually.

Its really hard to find any fish that will eat the stuff. I tried mexian turbos but they never concentrated on it fast enough for me. I am having great success with a Sea Hare. They really mow down the stuff. I just keep moving it from tank to tank to keep the HA trimmed back.

Another control is to lower the temp in the tank. I have found that HA grows very fast at temps over 80 but grows at a much slower speed at temps below 80. This can give the CUC a chance to keep on top of it.

I actually keep him in the refugium and feed him seaweed. He knocks to much stuff over in the main tank. I don't have an algae problem as of lately.

Please don't rely on the fact that mine does and all others might. I had two before him that was not interested in nori. It usually is not a problem to loan them out for circulation.(sea hare pimp)

I raised me mag to 2000 after all the discusion. I have noticed zero effect on the bryopsis. I am dosing about 20-25ml a day. I have manually removed as much as I can, but it shows back up and in other places. Im going to stick with it and see if I cant beat it. Its only been a couple of weeks, but hopefully I will get the upper hand SOON.

Using Tech M or other Mag additives? I saw action at 1400 when I tred it. Of course, my HA only was impacted in the high light areas. The algea in the T5 lit tanks didn't budge.

Yep, Im using Tech M. I was told to get it around 1800.
