There are a ton of variables. Why don't you elaborate on the history of your tank and that coral.

What kind of history you looking for? It has been in the same spot since I have had it. Not sure what you are looking for?

How long your tank has been up, lighting, chemistry, chemicals added, temp, any changes? That kind of stuff. We can only work with what you offer. There is never an easy diagnosis.

Tank is up for a year using T5 lighting the bulbs are about 5 months old. I use aquavitro's Fuel, PH 8.4, and vibrance along with purple up. Temp is 79-81 and no magor changes.

Have you noticed and fish bothering it? Any anemone or close coral sting it? How fast is the die off taking place?

Been looking bad for a few weeks and as of late starting to discolor quick. Nothing is no where close to it and I have been doing water changes weekly.

Edit: No fish has been bothering it.

I just went through the same problem, it started with favia and plating monti, it then spread through out all my sps and lps. All parameters seemed OK then discovered my phosphates were way to high so I suggest checking your phosphates with a couple different testing kits just to be sure

Well apparently my parameters are high. just went to the store and got a new kit and tested everything.

alk-4.88
cal-515
phos-.61

everything else is good. Should I replace my Chemi pure and purgen and just keep doing water changes?

You probably need do consider some form of phosphate removal. There are many ways: carbon dosing(vodka, vinegar, biopellets, reefbiofuel), gfo(granulated ferric oxide) or aluminum oxide(phosgaurd).

Those levels are pretty high across the board. What salt are you using? Cut back on the 8.4 and purple up.

Just went and got an API reef kit.

Edit: I have a few hanna checkers but I just realized that I was not using them correctly.

API: Junk.

What is beside it, to the right? It looks either like something is stinging it on the right side, or it may have white band disease.

Fragging it and removing the dying tissue and disinfecting the rest might save it, but I'm more curious to find out if it's a pathogen killing it, or what lives next to it.

yank and have someone QT or nurse it back while you get your params back. Fragging is another option, but if it stays in your tank it's probably done for.
Seeing the cyano on it would make me pull it and hope for a surviving frag later..

There is nothing to the right side. My lights in the QT tank will not support it so I am stuck trying to get the water right. Just used my Hanna Checkers and parameters were better but not good. I am going to do a 30% water change today.

What's the flow?
I noticed poor LPS health when they weren't able to properly expell waste...

As someone who's lost several thousands of $ in display corals before I halfway figured it out, I can tell you if you like that piece to find someone to take it for awhile...
I have about 5 skeletons of favia; grapefruit sized to almost bowling ball sized to back up what I'm suggesting.

I would not be opposed to that but I live in Covington and don't know anyone local.
