Newbie from Athens and just dive in with my redsea reefer 170 setup for 3 months.
Kinda far away from majority of folks, any active reefers nearby?

Hello I’m not too far away I live in Covington but work in Athens. I have a 125 mixed Reef. You should think about joining ARC. Great source of knowledge and help.

That’s fantastic! I’ll get some corals to stuff my new reefer tank. Got a bit that transferred from my old small tank but definitely happy to meet up the local reefer since I don’t know many reefer in the town

I’m right down the road (relatively) from you in Monroe and spend a lot of my free time in Athens. Aquarium Outfitters is my go to store for fish, dry goods, and a pretty decent array of corals. Justin’s a fantastic guy and have known him for almost 10 years. He’s got a everything on the Red Sea catalogue if you ever need something for your reefer!

Hello Athens area reefers! I know this thread is few years old but seems to be the best collection of Athens area ARC members. Welcome Cat!
I am located in Athens, and have been reefing for over 25yrs. I’ve also shopped at LFS with Justin now Fish Gallery for as long as he has been in town through all the stores . Main reason for checking in, I’m a long time ARC member but have been dormant for long time. 3 years ago broke down my 180g reef. Been keeping a 30g cube. I’ll look to be more active on ARC. I’m going to be posting threads for trades / sale (once I get reacquainted with member process). I have overgrown SPS and softie corals in my tank.. also lots of old er equipment from my 180 breakdown / other tanks. Happy reefing!
