Apparently I'm a member of the "Tang Police" because I think that fish doesn't belong in that tank...

Anyone else care to share an opinion with this fella?

Man reppo13 is right, that fish is too small for that tank, and nitrates has nothing to do with why. Your tank clearly shows that your water quality is fine, but that fish needs room to stretch its legs so to speak. I hope you've rehomed it by now as it really belongs in a larger tank. Your other fish look very nice!

Tried to stay positive, but I just feel bad for that fish...

Wait, I love this line from him:

Nitrates determine the carrying capacity of the tank for vertebrates.

I feel like I should go buy an Achilles tang for my 5.5g since I can do 50% water changes daily, the nitrates will stay at 00ppm!

I'm no marine biologist, but don't all tangs need more room than we can offer? normally they would work?...30 feet, 100 feet of a reef. I'm sure some stay in a small area, but my hippo says 6 ft ain't enough
