My 14 gallon tank has an ich problem and my clownfish is certainly feeling it. Unfortunately getting my wisdom teeth removed is preventing me from being able to work on it (water changes, good scrubbings, ect) can anyone recommend a good chemical or trick to help get the ich off him? He's really stressed and he won't stay in his anenome anymore, not even at night. I'd really appreciate any help.

Is he eating?

Dr. G makes a food specifically for parasites. It's called Anti-Parasitic RX and I swear by it. I had ich on and off for months until I stated feeding this. It was gone and never returned within a week.

Hope it works.

If he's that stressed I would make it a point to get him eating this before it gets worse and he stops. IME once they stop eating death is right around the corner.

Turn off the lights for a week or so! Keep stress levels low! You can turn the lights on everyday for about 10 minutes for the fish to eat; I recommend feeding food medicated with metronidazole and focus with garlic added! You can do it as long as stress levels are low!

Are you sure it's ich? Pictures would help.

Clowns are more prone to Brooklynella.

Not saying they can't get ich but usually it's Brook.

Good point Jenn! Dr. G's works for that as well or at least it claims to. I have never had brook so I can't attest to its effectiveness.

I cant post any pictures at the moment but it's just a bunch of little white dots on the top of his body.
