The debate over T5 vs MH.....I would say it has more to do with personal preference. There is a pretty hardcore faction of MH users on here, so starting a debate isn't going to be productive.

I would say his statement isn't wrong, just his side of the T5 vs MH legacy.

FWIW- The new UVL T5's with internal reflectors make 'good reflectors' unnecessary.

my hotel has also switched all regular shop lights over to t5s..Something about they are going to stop making the regular bulbs..also the regular 100watts are all changed to led flood type bulbs.."par38 leds"...

I dont think they are actually using the new plasma bulbs in any type of aquarium application quite yet.
