Well I'm currently cycling my 10 gallon nano. Once its done cycling would it be okay to put a small zoa frag in? Or should I play it safe and add some live stock first ? I'm a virgin as far a coral goes.I've only had FOWLR tanks before with the exception of a bubble tip I had

Coral doesnt affect your bio load as much as fish, so while the tank is building up bacteria a coral may be easier for you, and as for your bioload, the beneficial bacteria will only grow if there is something to sustain it. I suggest feeding your tank small amounts of food or dosing products like bright well microbacter. Hope this helps you out

I concur with the above - if the tank is ready, biologically, then you can proceed, but yes, patience is the key. A zoa frag or two would be fine. Resist the urge to start feeding liquid foods in abundance, they'll mess with water quality, especially in a small tank.

This is, on the assumption that you have proper lighting to support the Zoas (and corals...), yes?
