I will be replacing all the bulbs in my 8 bulb T5 Tek fixture tomorrow and want to clean the reflectors while I have all the bulbs out. Has anyone found a way that works well without leaving a film or scratching it? Paper towels and water? Any kind of cleaner?

tagging along..not trying to hijack but if someone can also tell what is the best way to clean the junk off the clear plastic light cover that would be great too!

I honestly just wiped down my sun tek reflectors with paper towels and water..i feel it was fair, coulda been better as i bought the unit used.

Warm water for the salt on the reflectors, warm water and vinegar mix for the clear panel.

If you have some microfiber lint-free towels, like for automotive detailing, you can make those things really shine with no smudges or streaks!

Yes, but apparently my microfiber towels don't compare to Andy's.

I know the shine on my truck can't compare to the shine on his 'Stang, so there may be something to that...

Coffee filters work really well for cleaning glass also... They won't scratch and they do not leave behind the little fuzzies that paper towels do

Thanks for all the inputs! I'm trying it with warm water now and the salt splash isn't budging so I'll try a little vinegar. I'll have to get some microfiber cloths for the next time.

Thanks Andy! Where do you get them? I'd like to have some on hand for the next time. Vinegar in the water isn't getting it either. I think the salt spots have actually pitted the metal some so maybe nothing will help at this point.
