I.D. Needed

I've had these things in my tank for several years. They have survived in the worst conditions and lighting. The funny thing is....They won't die not do they multiply.


Can someone please identify these things?

They will multiply. They are Palythoa sp. Commonly described as green button polyps.

They are a cool coral, but they will eat up real estate in your tank faster than some corals that you might consider more desirable. My advice: isolate them.

Interesting....I had no idea what they were (I guess I'm gonna have to do some research). So any suggestions as to how I would go about isolating them in a effort to slow down the spread?

Message to all. Although my tank is in much better shape now, these things can survive some of the harshest conditions imaginable....I'd say something very close to indestructible. Lol.

move the rock to the sandbed if you can.

I can't believe someone would pay a dime for these things. One mans chicken is another mans steak.

Edit: Also the rock is on the sand bed.

kill them while you have a chance... talk to me a year from now...lol
