These two white things have been on one of my rocks since I set up my tank. Only in the last two weeks have they started to get bigger. This is the best pic I can come up with on my cell.

They are approximately 9-10mm across, and seem puffy, like cotton... but I haven't touched them to know if they are soft or not. Tried the hitchhiker thread; no luck.

Anybody know what they are?

I just stabbed, oops I mean gently touched them with a clean bamboo skewer that I use to move things in the tank. Can't tell if they are filamenous or not (though they look like it), but they are definitely very soft.

No reason not to let them be, I presume?

I've only done a tiny bit of reading on sponges, but I've never seen any that look like this.
