IM Nuvo Lagoon 25 @ Sugar Hill

Everything seems SUPER HAPPY at the moment. It appears my Nitrates have hit an equilibrium point. I can feed or not feed and it seems to stay between 8-10. Phosphates hovering at .08.

Additonally, I did some experimenting with the light. My Trachy coral wasn't super full recently, and I started upping the wattage 4 watts every hour or two. With my par measurements from months ago (I measured at many wattages) It seems the Trachy gets nice and puffy at around 130 par. Coloring looks better when it is inflated as well!

Some par charts I did. This is with the light mounted 11 inches above the water surface. Two AI Prime HD16's. Modified AB+, less white and more green added.0E1B0C24-83C5-4FD3-94FD-1B80EBFD036E.jpeg901DDF95-0065-4596-ABFF-3F19359C7E85.jpeg

Haha yeah.. When you have the par meter for a week might as well make good use of it. Good to go now at all wattages! Lol
I agree, it should be done for sure, that is the only way to really dial in your lighting. I have my tech guru come and he does it for me, he LOVES tedious stuff like that, I just have the attention span of a 9 year old haha.

I like that. May have to steal that idea of mapping.
Yeah man, I just sketched one view of the tank and copied it to multiple sheets with the printer. Then just hand wrote in the par numbers at 18,26,34, and 42 watts.. When you do enough mapping you see how how the par #'s change with wattage, horizontal space, and vertical height.

Selling off some of my zoas and corals recently that I feel are similar in color. Also, just yesterday added a cool spotted mushroom, several monti's (one cool grafted), and my first Acro (A Cali tort), and some sort of pink Favia.BCE5DA6C-23C6-443D-A48C-933BAFC2CD1E.png23B6D67A-D7EB-4AEA-8565-EED918853428.png

Was off work yesterday and checked all my water paratmeters, and tracked my lighting, and how the corals looked as it was ramping up and down. It really appears they want more wattage/par. My Scoly's were fat and hanging over and low at the edges. My Trachy was all "swollen" at he higher values.

Water parameters the corals seem to love around 10ppm Nitrate and and .08-.10 with the Phosphates. Also, it seems the more I leave evertything alone the more stable and easy it is becoming.

I just sat there yesterday and observed the tank's going ons.. Haven't done that enough recently.

Not much going on. Have had a few more added corals. A pretty rad Chalice, a sun coral, and a couple of acans. Still tyring to get rid of a few things as well.

Also, comtemplating an Apex/Trident...

Tank looks great! I'm looking to get back in the hobby and currently looking at lagoon style tanks

Not much changes, really thinking of splurging on the apex, trident, and dos next month..

I did add a pretty sweet Wellso also...
