After a very poor experience with Nanobox reef my light finally came in. The light was suppose to take two weeks to get shipped out, took over two months at this point. I had to threaten with pulling my order I feel like to finally get it. It is a nice product but I would never order from him again.

I got the fixture custom painted purple after my daughter, Violet. It looks nice and I can’t wait to mess with the channels. Better than the multiple fixtures I had over the tank.

Next to tackle is my apex and wiring mess.

Things are coming along nicely. I’ve added quite a bit of corals to the tank and it seems for the most part things are happy. I’ve since added my pair of clowns from my 90g to the tank and just switched my mp10es to the 20g from the 90g.

This looks amazing - I am rebooting mine as we speak. I moved all the fish in to a bigger tank and I am redoing all the filtration and rock work. This looks great! What fish do you have in there?

What kind of HOB skimmer are you running?

How do you like it? Does it fit in more than 1 chamber?

IT kind of straddles two chambers. The intake goes in one chamber and the return is in another. It’s a good skimmer but it’s a bit noisy.

So it’s been a minute since I’ve updated the tank. I am now SPS-less, mainly because I can’t commit to keeping parameters and keeping up with water changes. It’s got a good mix of zoas and LPS going strong. I’ve been battling algae the last few months so today a long with my Water change I did a H2O2 dip and scrub on the rocks. WOW is all I can say. Some of the zoas look real mad but I’m sure they’ll eventually open. The chalice frags and shrooms look fine that I dipped. I didn’t do any of my acans or Favias in the dip and kept my RFA away from the peroxide. I’ve got water mixing for another change this weekend. Here are some before and after pics

Would be interesting to know if you can dip a acan in peroxide. I have a small one that is bad on the algae

I’ve read people doing it. I made mine a little more concentrated, probably 3:1 water to peroxide. I was reading on here or reefcentral most people use at least 4:1.

I’ll grab some pics over the next day or two as things clear up a bit.

I think I will try it. That's one of the few frags algae lovers to grow on not so much on the plug but on the skeleton its self.

My acans seem to be algae free. I have a bit growing on the discs of my favia though. I’m just nervous to dip them. I’ll prolly scrub them during my next WC to get some off.

I wish mine was just on the plug I would swap it out. If I dont do something I'm afraid I'm going to lose it to algae. I have scrubbed it several times and within a couple days its back.

You can also dip a toothbrush in the peroxide mix and scrub lightly

Dropped it into to a peroxide bath today so far the acan is coming back out. Yours turned out nice.

Man it’s been a while since I updated this tank. Things seem to just be on auto pilot. Nothing really taking off. Lost a few zoas and most my ultron favia. I discovered a rusted out magnet from a thermometer I did a lot of water changes to clean things up and it seemed to help a lot. In the last month or so things seem to be doing a lot better and I’ve seen a lot of growth. Still dealing with hit algae prolly cause my lack of water changes. But my CB White Zombie zoas are looking great and exploding. I really like the green ones next to it too.
