Ive had me GBTA for about a month now and despite him moving completely out of viewing area i think he is on his way out...

He is shrunken down really tiny compared to his normal self and has turned this really dark green. His tenacles are sooo much thinner and smaller than they normally are and his center is fully exposed. He normally adjusts bigger/smaller depending on light, feeding etc..but never this small - the clowns dont even fit him and even at his smallest they fit.

This could be perfectly normal, maybe not..he has had plenty of light (12 hrs actinic/9 hours full on 500 watts of T-5) and a good meal of shrimp 2 days ago. water quality is average, all 0 except the 5-10 nitrates, mag 1250, 1.023 sg, temp 81.4.

I did my best to get pics and after about 50 i found 2 usable shots, unfortunately they are too big to upload but can email if u want.

If its foot is attached, let it be.

How long has it been shrunken down?

About 24-36 hrs. Progressively got smaller, not suddenly. He had moved about 1" to the right deeper into the rockwork during this.

What Robb said - probably having a constipated moment - particularly if it ate a couple of days ago.

And they do, "water change" - purge water out of their tissue, and re-inflate with new water - this happens most often after an anemone is moved to a new environment (water parameters are different - it will water change to match its new surroundings) and sometimes after a tank water change - again to match its surroundings.

If you happen to see some brown mucous-looking stuff coming out of it - it's going potty.

Mine is already hiding only cause I believe it was bleached but it is getting a dark red on certain tentacles... it does this deflate thing like on a daily basis... really annoying actually... tho some have said that if the nem was on its way out that the clown would not go near it... but mine just are confused when it is small lol good luck..

makes sense guys, thanks for the help. he had a big meal the other day so im bet thats it
