Is my plate coral reproducing?

My orange plate coral is growing 2 extra mouths on it's sides, does this mean it is going to drop some baby plate corals?

Funny you mention this. I was just reading a thread on RC about a plate coral dying and now has over a 100 baby plate corals. Very cool. Any pictures?

AFAIK plates don't grow new mouths, they bud babies from their underside...

Most of the time when plates start dropping little ones, its on the way out.. Its a matter or trying to ensure survival of part of it..

I'll try to get a piic up tomarrow. I just added 2 new fish and don't want to freak them out with a camera. The plate coral looks really healthy otherwise.
