I have had three clowns in my tank for about 4 months now and all of a sudden everything has gone to heck. I have a mated pair that was one true and one false percula. I also have another small true percula that was given to me when I bought a brain coral because he was hosting the brain. Apparently the large female has turned on her mate and is now with the small true percula! I feel like this is a "days of our lives" episode!

Anyways im trying to catch the false percula now because the new couple is beating the crap out of the old male! I am also going to try and catch my wrasse. I am using the black out method. I will turn the lights on in an hour and hope for the best.

Wish me luck. Here is a pic.

Best of luck! If the "ta da" method doesn't work go with the clear soda bottle on a stick and food tactic!

Thanks for the good vibes guys the anticipation is killing me! Capt I will try that if this doesn't work!

Good luck, Curt...if you need help, give me a holler.

@Cap'n, I can't think of two better fish to be in that bottle than those two.

Your NOT kidding! What a pain n the a$$! They are beautiful but mannnnnn! Caught all three in a matter of a couple of min and ran dwnstairs to easily catch a Dragon Goby whilst I was at it (being that it was soooo easy) and needless to say its been 2 weeks and I still haven't caught him yet!

How's it goin w/the "fish catchin" Curt?

Well it didn't work, the clown was hiding behind the rocks and I couldn't get to him before his eyes adjusted. I am going to try the bottle technique. If that doesn't work I might need your help JB.

I am now trying the bottle method! What kind of food did you guys but in the bottle? Also how long did it take for the fish to go in there?

Curt, if u r using it on the stick you have to get a chunk dwn through the neck, when it almost falls out the bottom lower the bottle dwn to the sand bed. When u raise it up the suction will swirl the food around, set it dwn again. Do this a couple of times then slowly raise it up, the fish will be around the bottle trying to get at the suspended food wait on it then drop it down on top of them once they r in it. You will have to have a net to lower dwn and cover the end to get them out once u catch them. Oh, turn off your powerheads so the food will stay put! Keep us posted! Happy "fishin"!

Ah I might try that. I was just placing the bottle in the tank with fishing line attached. I squirted some frozen food into the bottle. I have been waiting for about an hour with no luck.

I used a clear 1liter and the fiberglass rod from the scraper and 2 zip ties around the neck
