Hi ARC.

After a two year break from the hobby, I am returning with a shallow rimless nano build.

Tank Specs: 12.5 Gallon Shallow 18x18x9 PicO S III w/ Starphire Glass and Starphire Glass Top

http://picoaquariums.com/en/pico-s-series/13-pico-s-iii.html">http://picoaquariums.com/en/pico-s-series/13-pico-s-iii.html</a>

Lights: AI Nano Super Blue (Black)

Stand: Modern Expresso 18x18x34 w/Marble Top

May or may not user skimmer.....

Still working on the other equipment spec but the rest is on order.

Glad to be getting back into the water.

Will post pics as soon as the tank arrives. I have the AI Nano just sitting there looking sorry for itself.

Welcome back. Looking forward to watching this come together.

Stand ready for tank....3yr old daughter let me "borrow her fish" until my tank is ready.

Ooo jealous! Sharp looking tank you got there! I like the dimensions

^Thanks. The house feels just right with a reef....ahh. So good to be back.

nice tank! are you having the same problem with me with the clowns just overing at the glass? Mine rarely swim off the glass, and I am not buying a 'nem.

Thanks.

For now, yes they hover along the back wall most of the time. Sometimes when I approach the tank of late they move to the front and they seem to be settling in. It will take time.

I hope as I establish the tank they will roam a little more and find a comfy spot. Not ready to add corals but I have been considering a branching hammer or something they may host. Also not going to go for a nem, so we'll see what shakes.

I tried a nem in my shallow rimless and it didn't go well. The clowns are quite entertaining as they learn to come up when you feed them pellets, and they stick out of the water, so you get to enjoy that being rimless. I actually have a small hammer but no luck yet. It's barely larger than a frag so I will have to wait.
Looks great though, will be following to steal ideas :)
