Jebo WP40 Powerhead - anyone using it?

Mine are on order and should be delivered this week. Along with the pumps, I have 24V PWM cards coming so that I can vary the speed of the pumps and/or connect to the Apex VDM. I have 2 coming for my 120 build.

I bought a variable power supply, which allows me to controll the flow rate, but I'm waiting on a PWM module so that I can control it with my apex.

Sounds like a great idea for us DIYers. I would like some more info, maybe some pics or a vid of how you have it all rigged up!:shades:

There are also some really good ones on youtube, if you search for wp40. Looking forward to seeing yours barry.

After reading on other reef forums the WP25 is confirmed just not an exact date yet. It seems like if there is any longevity, the WP25 will sell like crazy at $50 a piece.

Tagging along. More intrigued by the wp25. As others have said $50 would be pretty low risk in this hobby unless it nukes your tank.

Alright, after doing more research I had another idea. The plug from the controller to the pump looks very similar to the hydor koralia controllable pumps. I was wondering if they were the same and if they would work with the controller? My thinking is if the pump fails I could by a different pump.

I have one coming. It's a great alternative to the overpriced vortechs.

It is variable speed for another $12 http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Adapter-15V-18-5V-19-5V/dp/B004I5ERUW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=39UCQ4L7YUN7C&coliid=I2T8YT2GROBETY&tag=vglnk-c1061-20">http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Adapter-15V-18-5V-19-5V/dp/B004I5ERUW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=39UCQ4L7YUN7C&coliid=I2T8YT2GROBETY&tag=vglnk-c1061-20</a>

Sounds like a lot of people here are interested, if we get enough we could do a group by and save some dough on an already cheap alternative pump. If you are interested pm me and I will see how many people we have interested and if we have enough for those discounts they offer on buys of more than 10 at a time.

I'm with Ripped on this. I don't see how they can make a comparison to the Vortech. It's nothing like the Vortech. Now it does resemble the Tunze so that would probably be a more accurate comparison.

As for Jebao products....I've had more than a few and they weren't worth the money (and this is post 2007 that I'm talking about). Seals wouldn't seal properly, electronics quit, even my Odyssea light did short out and catch fire. Now while they may have realized the error in their ways and made vast quality improvements...it's going to take time for me to become a believer again.

I believe shipping is going to kill this real quick. They combine the shipping instead of discounting. A person in the RC thread tried to do this too and found that out quickly.

If they do discount the shipping, that would be great!

I don't see why not...it's been done several times before with eShine lights, etc.

I had mine shipped to the same location (2 of them) and they doubled the price of shipping, not combined. What should have been about $20 for shipping ended up being $45. From RC, this was the result too.

If you could order these directly from the manufacturer, then I could see the group buy working.

I would be in for a group buy as well. I think if we can email the store we would buy them from they might be able to set something up for us. I know the people from RC have their email.

So i know this is obvious but Im kinda disappointed about the shipping situation. I was wanting to buy two of the WP25's and put them on both sides of the tank with timers. I just don't want to pay 45 or 50 bucks in shipping. I guess ill just buy one of the WP40.

Shipping for the WP25 will probably be less than shipping on the WP40. The shipping is calculated on weight and duties into the destination country.

I looked at the sight the discount for 39 or more is not in the shipping but $20 off the price of the pump so the $85 pump would cost $64 with shipping still being $20 or so so the group buy would still save everyone $20 or would be the same as free shipping however you want to look at it. 6 in one half dozen in the other

Jeff the only sight I have seen them on is fish-street.com

Edit: $62.50 each plus yhe $20 shipping for orders of 40 or more
