Jebo WP40 Powerhead - anyone using it?

I thought I might add that I have a wp40 that is running in my 210gal and I am running it on H and my oolite sand is not being bothered at all. I bought a voltage regulator before I received the pump since everyone said this thing like a mp60 and might need to be toned down; that's not the case for my size tank.

Anyone on the fence about one of these being too strong remember it has a L setting that is pretty weak vs the H setting. I think you could easily run this pump on L in something as small as a 75gal without problems. For smaller tanks use a voltage regulator and it will work for just about anything.

I will probably buy a second one to use in my 210 gal and still not need the voltage regulator to lower the power.

Waiting for shipping costs.

I hate to keep asking but any update on shipping?

Doing a bit of research tonight... Bit difficult to do on a Chinese company.

I found that Jabo (jebo odyssea = fire) is a different company from Jebao (WP40). Jebo manufactures aquarium products whereas Jebao manufactures pumps... One of which is a propeller pump for aquariums.

They do have an aquarium line... Mostly canister filters.

It's also amazing to me how this pump is being discussed on multiple websites: 45 pages on RC since 2nd Feb.

I thought they just changed their name but it looks like you are probably right.

Did you ever hear anything back about the shipping fees directly from Jebo themselves?

Glad to have you back BTW!

I too have emails out and am waiting to hear from someone, I reached out to a few people on reefcentral to see who their contact was and am hoping to get a more concrete contact today.

Ok so just wanted to get this info out, i have heard back from jebao about this pump. $35 per pump is the correct amount, however, they are putting together a shipping quote. I believe the price you see on fish-street is just their price after they mark it up. Once i hear the exact shipping costs i will post an unofficial group buy thread, so be thinking about what you want to order and how many.

Just got this info on the WP25:

Flow - 3000 L/H
Energy Consumption - 6W

Everything else is the same as WP40, except that it is probably a little smaller. They are doing testing and should start production next month they said. I made a recommendation that they try and make the pump to run 6000 L/H as its maximum rather than 3000 L/H.

They are open to suggestions so if anyone has any post here and I will relay the message. They are basically emailing me back the minute i email them so just let me know.

Man.....at this cost it's kind of hard to even fathom looking at any other option.

I need one, but it's hard not to grab three just to have some backups and equal out any worries about not having a warranty.

Just a friendly reminder to have all group buy talk on that forum so this one does not get shut down. That includes suggestions and shipping information.
Thanks

What does everyone think about the WP 25 being 3000L/h. Seems kind of low but they may be geared towards nano's.

That speed sounds like they are gearing these towards nanos. If they were to take these up to 6000-9000lph, that would be on par with the Tunze 6095 pumps.

I'm from macon and will be picking up from ddaddy directly and would have no problem meeting one central Atlanta member to drop off with and everyone could distribute from there!!! Please keep in mind it is a pricey trip for me to do and am not expecting any money for gas or compensation but if any ARC member would like to donate a small frag then I would not turn you down lol! But if it all goes through ill help best I can

Sorry just seen this after I posted.... Will go to other thread!!! No need to delete this one

I'm kinda curious about noise, I read on the RC thread some people didn't have an issue with the unit at low speed but when thy dialed up it was louder. Others didn't seem to have a problem at all. My system is not dead quiet, so a little noise won't bother me, but the the tank is in the living room.
