Just set up my 5 gallon pico...

Just bought the tank around Christmas and just got around to setting everything up about two weeks ago...here's the rundown on the set up as it sits now...

5 gallon ecopico tank w/glass top

Coralife mini t-5 aqua light (perfect fit fo the tank)

Deep blue 50 watt heater

Deep blue 5 gallon palm filter

Fine grade sand and a couple pieces of live rock from my other tanks

Not sure what I wanna stock it with...any ideas?

I never had any luck with the Coralife light. It just kept blowing bulbs. Thankfully, I got it from Pure Reef who a) kept replacing them and b) eventually took back the light. I just got a DIY kit from Rapid LED for my new 8g, and I LOVE it -- though Rich definitely needs to give me a soldering lesson (or 10).

As for what to stock, I'm thinking about the same thing. There's not a ton that can happily go in a tank that small. Right now, I just went with 3 sexy shrimp while I'm contemplating it

The key to soldering (which I have not learned yet) is to tin the wire before trying to solder it to the terminal. What little bit I have done has held up but it sure is not pretty. LOL
