I think she used a bucket like they use for feeding during a dive sometimes... with an X cut in the lid where your hand can go in through it. The salt would get wet, but would still be a thick paste that you could put in a specific spot.

Well I'm glad to hear that. The whole display was overrun in July of 09 when I was there last (with a Seachem group). We asked about it and the guy that guided our tour basically said they'd given up... they are in the pipes and such, and they'd tried all kinds of biological and chemical means to get rid of them.
