Picked up an Orange Linckia Star for my wife on Saturday. Did a 1 hour float and a 1 hour drip acclimation. Followed all procedures as far as not touching it and never exposed it to any air. Added him to the tank and he worked his way to the back corner and hasn't moved since. Still have very good color but no movement at all.

Should I be concerned?

I got a Blue Linckia awhile back, acclimated him correctly etc just like you. When I put him in the tank he didn't move for probably 3 days. I thought for sure he didn't make it. He's over 3 years old now! Also had an Orange that seemed to acclimate great, moved all over right after, so I guess it depends on the star.

Well that gives me hope!!!! thanks!

It's no biggie about exposing them to air, BTW. You can touch it too. Those are myths.

+1 - not a sponge. :)

From my experience:
Blue's are pretty hardy.
Orange not as much blue.
Red not so hardy.
Purple, dunno but want one.

Well I played it safe. I'm still a newbie, so I follow directions to a tee! :D

Nothing wrong with that.

I just threw mine in had no problems out of mine

The last 2 I bought were fine for 2 days, then began to turn white until they rotted away. Haven't gotten once since.

Everything's good! 15 minutes after I posted that my Linckia hasn't moved in two days, it takes off and slides across the entire 90gal!

it just found something taste to eat. My blue one will stop on spots for days to eat a sponge or something.
