What's up everyone, I'm new to the board as my post count reveals. I know there are some local to Macon folks. I wanted to intro myself. I just upgraded to a 72G, lots of new stuff inside and could use some coralline to to seed with.

This tank will be a FOWLR with some reef characteristics. Live deep sand bed, pods, certain polyps for color and the reef look.

I house a couple of puffers (a green spotted and a blue spot toby) so they kind of dictate the direction. Other inhabitants are a yellow tail damsel trio, Flamehawk and a tribal blenny.

Let me know if you have some coralline scrapings for me, thanks.

Im just north of you in Locustgrove,I think you need some live rock thats really good and cured to help your cycle go faster or maybe half a shrimp.Glad to have some one else close, let me know if I can help.

'preciate it but it's actually not an all new tank, it's a conversion and so I used some of my old rock, live sand and fish. This tank has was put up just before christmas and diatoms are growing so I think i'm rolling along. Tank water parameters except for nitrates are close to 0. I have never been able to grow good coraline however so that's a focus of mine now.

Edit: Cool. Where do you get your supplies, is there a store in Forsyth?

Unfortunately there is not a good store in the area. I usually have to head up to mcdonough area but to get the good stuff I usually end up driving 1 1/2 hours to Duluth there is another member however that has really nice corals her frags from time to time

Agree...I picked up some LR from Corey and it was covered in coraline. He might still have some, so it wouldn't hurt to PM him and see.

I could probably be talked into hosting something here at my place, provided you all don't mind coming to Warner Robins.

Pending work schedule I'm down of course I'm always at work the days others are off

I'd be down. There's definately some folks into this around here.

Edit: Lets make a plan to link up. I have a tribal blenny in my tank that should take care of any hair algae that springs up. I have a little growth now but nothing significant.

i think it would be cool to tie it in with Macon Pets.. Maybe see if they wanted to make it like a Re-Grand opening Party or something. BBQ, bounce houses, etc.

Good for their business and get some atl people down here to check them out? (maybe it would get them to clean their tanks and get them "right" again)..
