Local to Macon

They had a good variety of fish from the common fish to things that I had never seen there before (doesnt have to be super rare for that but still). They even had a few frags in stock.

I too like the folks that own it. You can find me there most friday mornings now, helping maintain the tanks and acclimating the fish. I'd hate to lose that place but as pointed out the tanks started getting away from them. Stop by and tell me what you think. It looks better that in recent months.

Edit: I'll inquire tomorrow about their level of interest for being a part of the meet.

Its been a few months since I was at Macon pets. I might have to make another trip up there and see how things are going.

I stopped by Macon pets about two weeks ago, had a few frags but the tanks are still needing some attention. My only gripe with them as that they will not special order anything, I've tried multiple times.

As soon as Allen nets it out of their tanks at Noah's Ark, all bets are off...they do not have a return policy on their saltwater livestock like they do with the FW stuff.

I really wish their tanks were in better shape cause Allen has always been nice and gave great customer service, atleast in my opinion.

Allen allowed me to return fish before. I bought a lawnmower blenny once and realized it was a mistake. Returned it the next day.

Edit: If we ever get this local meet up and running I think we'll have some type of involvement from Macon Pets. They were excited to hear about it. This is their 25th year so they're planning something big later in the year. However, I was asked to keep them posted on what we decide. I'm good for any weekend in March.

Regarding special orders I think they do sometimes, ask again or let me know what you want i'll find out.

Coraline takes some time my tank is new 4 months and was liverock from friends just as of this week i noticed little spots of coralline that was not there before so it is growing

I've never organized a meet but would definately assist. Anyone else has some experience want to help out. What's expected at these type events?

Since March is almost here, let's get a concensios on date. The 17th actually works for me (St. Patty's day). What you guys think?

So after last friday, I still don't know what type of support we'll get from Macon Pets. I'm concerned that they're concerned about cost...maybe, but that's only speculative. Aquatic sales could be better.

JB, do you still want to host it at your house? I would suggest we bring it, you grill it. I would entertain the same thing over here at my place if you decline. I'm in macon.

In the mean time i'll work on the store's support of an ARC discount or a photo contest for example. Stay tuned...
