At first I had thought this was cyano but Dr. Tim's waste away doesn't seem to be helping. I'm looking to see if anyone near me has a microscope. I could bring the sample to you or whatever is easier.

That looks a lot like cyano. If you put some of the slime in a cup or container with just some tank water and a little peroxide. The water will turn pink if it's cyano.

Also waste away by itself will not rid the tank of cyano. It needs to be used in conjunction with his refresh product. There's a whole treatment plan on Dr Tim's site. Verify cyano with the peroxide test.
