lost another fish this morning :(

i came downstairs just now to find my pink anthia dead on the floor he jumped thats the third fish this month (chromis jumnped & clownfish got sucked into overflow) is there anything i can get to cover my open tank so so this doesnt happen again

Edit: anything besides a canopy that is maybe some mesh?

A canopy is a must or the carpet surfing will continue. It is very disappointing to lose a fish this way. There is a member ACHROHOLIC, I believe who might have what you need and an easy do it yourself instructions with pics.

Very doubtful. It is soft and not sharp, and the weave is tight enough it shouldn't hurt them. But either way, a whole lot better than being a crunchy fish stick on the carpet.

Mesh tops are one of the best recent innovations for reef tanks, IMO. Cheap to make, and incredibly effective. Perhaps one of the best bang for the buck things you can do for a reef tank.
