March Photo Contest - Full tank shot!

Beautiful tank. If you don't mind, how big is the tank and how much rock is that?

Thanks. It is the Redsea Reefer 525. So 5 foot long and 110 gallons. I estimate maybe 100 pounds of rock tops. It is very open though it is a bit hard to see in the photo. Love watching my wrasses dart in and out all day.

Got it. So still around 1 pound per gallon. It looks great. Do you use any bio media in the sump or are you strictly using the live rock? I love the scape and how open it is.

This contest is free for any supporting members! If you're not a supporting member consider joining, it's well worth it.

Please post a full tank picture from the front of one of your tanks.

Entries are closed on 3/31!

The prize for the winner will be a SC Orange Passion frag. About 1". I'm going to cut it now so that it'll have more time to grow for the lucky winner.

Please keep in mind that I've never been able to get that color of orange on the polyps... It's still a beautiful coral though :)

So how do we submit a photo?

My shop tank, this sits in our lobby/waiting room at Toyotechs, I don't spend as much time maintaining it as I should. You can still see some rock, for now. It has a pair of 18 year old clowns, two clown gobies, yellow tang, tomini tang, arc eye hawk fish, and a long spine urchin.

All I can say Is very very nice. The coloration and fullness makes me hopeful that maybe Someday I will have something like this in my office to watch grow and thrive.
Thank you so very much. I am humbled. Prayer, time and stability makes for a full reef in a pretty short amount of time. This tank was only four years old to the very month when I started to frag it up and break it down because it was getting to crowded in there. I am sure you will have the same level of success and be enjoying your tank very soon!! Keep us all posted under Members Tanks so we can watch your progress! Blessings!
