Anyone have one of these?

We were out doing some shopping yesterday and I saw them for the first time ever. Doing a little digging today and they seem pretty easy/decent. And they look VERY cool =)

I believe Imagine Ocean was expecting one in a few days ago. Give Jenn a shout.

I have heard they hide a lot and can be easily bullied, beautiful fish though.

See wetwebmedia, regarding: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/calloplesiopsart.htm">http://www.wetwebmedia.com/calloplesiopsart.htm</a>

One of my favorite fishes, but need calmer tank mates and caves. They feed at twilight (typical predator, but smaller mouth). Gorgeous fish!

Yeah, Sea has one and Pure Reef had one (but it was sold). Just curious about the fish to see if anyone had one in their tank. Very pretty fish for sure. Will do the WWM read even though I'm not in the market for a while for anything new. 2 big fish going in this week or weekend...

I have the tiniest Comet I've ever seen (larval harvested, tank-raised). It's itty-bitty.

I had an adult one in my 120 years ago - great fish. Very shy, blends right in when it hides, but when it thought nobody was looking, it would come out and splay its fins and it was beautiful.

I concur that it does best with more docile tank-mates. Larger specimens can be a risk with tiny ornamental shrimp. I had a beefy cleaner shrimp in with mine and it never bothered it. Common sense applies there.

Great fish - very hardy and very under-appreciated.

I have one, and it's a great fish. He is is housed with peaceful wrasses, copperband, clowns, assessor, fire shrimp, 2 blue stripe pipefish, As well as a few other small community fish.

He has a really neat relationship with the two pipefish. They are always hanging out together. Any time, you see the betta, the pipes are either hovering above or below the betta. Mine eats anything offered. Ive had him for over two years, but I once knew a betta that was 18 years old when he dissappeared.

I am with ya. Great looking fish. I have seen them at Pure Reef, and I think Creations had one a while back. Who would think...not sure if it is only common by name...(showing my lack in knowledge here) but you can buy a Beta from Wally World for a few bucks, $59.99 for the Marine.:lol2:Lovely looking fish, and my first well second thought was, "oh those fins look mighty tasty" :lol2:

Edit:

Too late, you already saved it!:lol2:

Sustainable Aquatics has been breeding marine bettas. I know Aviarium has been buying from Sustainable.

That's what I have and where I got it from - Sustainable. He's just a teeny little dude. (Assuming it's a "he".)

No kidding. The one I kept was probably 4" or so. The one I have now is about 1" or a bit better than that. Cute as a button (and about the size of one!)

They are tiny, get a little bigger toward end of video.
