Jenn has a single Panorama LED strip lighting up a Nano (maybe 3 gallons) at Imagine Ocean, and it is a really pretty tank.

Ive been looking for another lighting option on my 12g Aquapod, how does the single Panorama strip work on yours? What all do you have in the tank as well? Also these are the ones that run around $100, correct?

I think you will need a second module. It will look great and it is awesome to see more LED's popping up on ARC.

I hope to see more AI's, Maxspects, Pano's etc as it will ultimatly lead to cheaper, better quality LED solutions for our hobby from all manufacturers. It takes some early adopters to help push em' to the forefront. I know there were a few folks that picked up LED's really early in the game and company's went under.

Anyways, slightly off topic - but I think the ecoxotic looks decent.

I think its really gonna depend on what you are wanting to keep in your tank. I think if I were going to be keeping softies and LPS I would lean more toward ecoxotic if I were looking to go with a full blown SPS I would lean more towrd the maxspect.

I just wonder if the 23" fixture is going to be able to fully cover a 36" tank. It would depend on if the setup has reflectors or some way to spread the light, and doesn't point it straight down.

They make 17.5" fixtures too. On a 36" tank I'd do 2 of those. More $$ but better results.

thanks - i've been looking into the maxspect fictures based on the recommendations. Who is a reputable dealer to purchase them thru?

Fish-Street.com had outstanding follow up and service. Broken English occassionally, but 18 month warranty and great customer service. Would recommend. I had my concerns but I am happy I ordered with them.....

Trust me, I feel the same. I went local with almost every component of my build. However, there are no US stores that carry the Maxspect and I really wanted it.

aquashop online has the G2-800-230W for only 770! that's less than I paid for my 23.5" panorama, and it will SURELY cover my whole tank. I still don't tryst it though

ok, the more i look at the maxspect, the more I like it. Chris at Einstein says he put a 23.5" over a 36" tank and it looks great, but i'm really digging the controllability of the Maxspect fixture. I've read that they ship pretty fast, and despite a few smal qc issues, its a solid product...
