Sometimes you just have to research these things as the answers can be quite detailed and long. Lazy people like me will not answer such detailed answers. Use Goggle search buddy get the basics and then ask specific questions. Just trying to help

No problem, I definitely understand. I just don't/didn't have any context to know where to start. The main question is where is the output of the reactor supposed to go, back in the sump or into the tank or does it matter? A link to reading would be fine and appreciated as well!

Reactor return would go back into the sump. Google sump manifold and then click on Images.
