We have a member who is in need of help. I won't go into the long story but lets just say the tank problem is only a drop in the bucket to the overall picture.

The immediate situation is a need for a replacement pump. I have a pond pump that may do the trick temporarily but a Reef Flow Dart would be better. Anyone in the Sandy Springs area (or close enough to help) want to meet me there and knock this out?

I have a danner hydrive just sitting around. Not really good long term in a reef. But its here in bowdon

They decided to wait until tomorrow and see if their pump works after drying out. They have plenty of circulation through power heads for the evening. If the pump doesn't work tomorrow I will temp in my pond pump for the time being unless someone has a spare Reef Flow lying around.

If I end up going tomorrow I will hit you up before I head that way. I could swing by on my way south. Thanks man. :-).

I have a Quiet One 3000 or a Little Giant 4-MD-SC that would get them by. I have a Reeflo Barracuda that would do the trick but I was told it had a small leak that I've not been able to verify yet.

Thanks John. If it comes to it I will try to use eFloyds. He is on the way. Well sorta. LOL

Thanks man. I will keep you in mind if it comes down to it.

I have an iwaki external if needed. It's at my other place in dunwoody... I could bring it by if it would help. Just let me know!

I'm in town and heading back to Alabama tomorrow. PM me if you all hit a brick wall...

My return pump went out yesterday. I threw an airstone in front of a power head. Hoping for the best when I return home tomorrow. I've run this configuration for a week before during my sump build...
May help this person until you all find a permanent solution.

It probably has a bad seal. It's a pretty easy fix, just gotta get the parts. The stock seals that Reeflo use almost always leak.

If that is the case do you know anyone local who stocks them?

Sea might. Call Jeremy and check. I'm not sure what products the sponsors on the west side stock, but it couldn't hurt to call around.

Edit: Doing the repair is relatively easy, but FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. It does require applying silicone and letting it dry. Also, make sure not to put any pressure on the seal face when you are installing it. Always apply pressure around the metal rim.

Directions are for panty waist. A real man just buys two kits. He figures out what he did wrong while ruining the first one then does it right the second time.

The good news is, the pump is working fine for them today. The fact that so many of you stepped up to the plate and offered equipment and help makes my heart pump peanut butter. You guys are the best. :yay:

Glad to know they got it rolling.

The reason I advise reading the directions is because I initially took your approach.... Lol

Edit: That's why I know not to apply pressure to the seal face! And, let the silicone dry.
