Will a gen 2 wireless function with the new es wireless controllers?

I guess i could just try myself but i am kind of too lazy to go through setting everything up and it not working.

The controller is the only difference, so any MP40 can be made to a ES with the ES controller...

let me rephrase it, i have two mp40w es and then i have a gen 2 wireless mp40, will they function together?

I believe that they will work together with the exception of the ES modes (Nutrient Transport mode).

the ESwireless will listen to the G2wireless, however, not the other way around..

(so the ES can be setup as a slave, but not the master to a G2wireless)
-or so the vortech website says... (if I understood it correctly)

obviously, the ES mode is not possible on the G2..

Hmm well with all that said, not so sure i want to keep the gen 2 set up, any other thoughts or reason why i shouldnt sell and look for an es?

Instead of sell the gen 2 then buying an es you can just buy an es controller from ecotech as an upgrade.

i thought of that but is there a market for a gen 2 wireless driver as it esentially cost me more to buy the new es then to sell the whole unit and look for a es one?

yes.. buy the controller upgrade.. (I think it's something like $60-$80)...

you perform the upgrade at home... go to the website and watch the video of the process..

yep just checked myself and there its actually more cost effective for me to sell this one and look for a used es version...**** thats kind of disappointing

used... yes.. but you never know how someone has treated their equipment...
