Trying to fix a leak at the bottom of the injector for my skimmer. It's where the acrylic meats the pvc at the bottom of the injector before going into the skimmer housing. I have a picture but can't for the life of me figure out how to post it from my phone. I have tried silicone but every time I touch the pump or something it starts to leak. Someone recommended weld on. Just figured I would ask for ya'lls input. Is there a seal in there I'm missing? Thanks

I've had the same problem witha second hand MR2 that I bought. It leaked from everywhere. I haven't installed it yet, but I closed the valve and filled the skimmer to the very top of the collection chamber just to see where the leaks came from. One of the leaks is what you are refering too. I used weldon 16 around the base of the injector, where the acrylic meets the pvc adaptor. Weldon 16 will fuse acrylic to pvc. So far using the same method of filling the skimmer with water, there are no leaks. I have yet to test it under operating conditions though.

Thanks for the input. Can I purchase weld on 16 locally?
