Ok so I finally went out on a limb and bought a copperband butterfly. I have wanted one forever but I know how difficult they can be when it comes to eating prepared food, so I brought him home Monday and he finally ate mysis and krill today! Had to add a Lil garlic but that did the trick! And to top it off it's my bday too! It's been a great day so far!!

And he has mowed down the few Lil sprouts of aphasia on a rock I got from a friend!

Happy Birthday bro! Congrats on the fish. I almost picked up one the other day but heard they may mess with clams so no go for me.

Great purchase. I did the same thing 2 years ago, i.e. went out on a limb for a CB -- put her in a fairly aggressive tank with tangs and triggers. She hid in the corner for 2 weeks. I provided live brine shrimp to ensure she would not starve.

After 2 weeks she came out and began swimming with the 'big boys' and has done extremely well ever since. She only eats mysis and brine -- absolutely nothing else -- so that's what she gets

I love to hear good fish news. Wish you all the best with your new addition. Happy BDay.

Thanks folks!! She's still kinda warming up to all my other fish. Eating but small amounts and tiny pieces. My fish act like they're starved when I feed so she's gonna have to adapt to the aggressive eating process! But she dosent hide at all, which is unusual for me, most of the fish I have had hid right away when added!

Glad it is not hiding. If the others are still more aggressive feeders add some mysis etc to a snail shell and feed that way for now. Something it can only reach while the others are in a frenzy

Ok that's a great idea! Thanks I'll try that!

He is doing great! He now joins the feeding frenzy! Eats PE mysis like it's candy! They get fed well twice a day and you would think they are starving at the rate they gobble up the mysis!
