I purchased a used 240g Glass Cages tank. It is a beautiful tank. It is a peninsula with an exterior overflow and is 60x36x25.
I picked it up in NC Saturday and drove it home. Everything looked good when we moved it and loaded it. No issues on inspection. Drove all the way home with zero issues. No nasty bumps or anything.
The tank was wrapped in moving blankets and there was nothing around it that could fall on it. I had it in a 15' UHaul moving van.
On inspection when I got home there was a flake of glass dangling on one of the ends of one of the long sides. I am in contact with Glass Cages to see what if anything can be done. I am going to get more pictures this evening to share but I thought maybe someone might have an idea of whether it could be reinforced and run or repaired. Replacement of the tank is the last thing I want to do because it will take a while to save up for that.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
