With modifications and additions (i.e. hang-on filter, lighting upgrade) you could do it as a saltwater tank. I think that'd be cool.

Dual purpose- I love it! Those lights sure would wake you up in the morning :lol2:

I'd like to see someone rig up a valve / sump system that drops the water level in the fish tank a several inches when you flush the toilet- you could tell you guests not to flush too much or the fish will run out of water.

Another great purpose of those lights would not be hearing my GF yelp from the cold toilet seat in the cooler months.

I guess it'll be easier to dispose of a fish in the event that it dies. Speaking of computer monitor fishtank, that was my very first fish tank that I had at work. I took an old old power mac, ya know the ones that had a 7" screen and ripped out the guts and put a custom made acrylic tank in it.
