My tank water is Shocking!

Yup, if it were not for the fact that water so easily accepts impurities it would be a great insulator. But, it must be 100% pure. The only way you will ever get 100% pure is by collecting evaporation in a sealed closed environment.

Could not agree more. There are many things which can help to reduce the risk of bodily harm but none of them are fool proof. The only sure thing is to make sure there is no stray voltage period. None of us wants to harm our livestock but our own safety and the safety of those who may come in contact with the tank is much more important.

Sounds to me like the water needs to be replaced :)

Kidding Jason but please tell us what it was if you figured it out

Think its a koralia very odd was redoing the rock had everything off grabbed a green slimer that had become partially out of water and was shocked. Needless to say ive left all powerheads off except one and 1 heater and been 2 days shock free. Hurt like a son of a b though.
