Their pretty good for their size and prize. I got one to prepare for my 60g cube which is in the works. But unsold my skimmer for my 120g which I just broke down but still have 1 coral and a few inverts in there. So I dripped it in and instead if a maxijet I stuck a mag 3 in and it works great!! It's pulling a lot of nasty slimmate out of my tank. Worth the money so go for it!!

i guess this new nano one is smaller than their regular remora series and comes with a maxijet 900 pump..i was wondering how it compares to the aquamedic lite..or whatever that other nano skimmer is called...

also..right now i have a stock biocube 14 return pump and a koralia 425 nano in the tank for extra flow...when you get a skimmer does it matter where in the tank i would put it...and since it has another pump with it should i remove the 425..would it cause more flow in the tank or is the pump just a means for the skimmer to work?

Before I can answer that. Let me know this. You said you have a bio cube. With that said, there should be a built in sump compartment in the rear of the tank correct? If that's the case then you would want to put the skimmer in the back where the sump is. The maxijet 900 is too weak to do anything IMO. Id upgrade to a 1200, and if room permits it then do a mag 2 or 3. That will allow it to produce more bubbles due to the higher flow rate

I have the nano for sale if you need one...I will take $75 for it with Maxi jet pump is great condition.

I used the nano remora on a 35g and it actually did a really good job.

Also used it on my 55 when I was "between skimmers" lol... it works well, but it's not strong enough to be a permanent skimmer for a big tank.

I've got a "full sized" remora on my fish only and it works better than the Red Sea Prizm that WAS on it... (I've got a mj1200 running on it) The pump on the remora should not be used in any flow calculations (keep your 425)..

it's also quieter than the prizm..

I believe that if you're looking for a true NANO skimmer that has an impeccable reputation, you should look at the TUNZE nano skimmer..
