Looks like I cannot stop the leak in my 300 gallon tank. I drained the display down about 8 inches from the top and disconnected the return/sump. The tank STOPPED leaking totally. As a precaution, I used some Aquamend to cover the silicone seam along the bottom and up from corner where the leak was. A week later still completely dry. As soon as I put the sump back online and restarted the return the leak is back within half an hour. The leak is not along the top anywhere. The leak is from the bottom corner. It's weird to me that the tank does not leak when the water level is not all the way...
I am thinking that there is something wrong beyond the typical silicone seam. I am afraid that the back panel needs to come completely off and be re-joined. This is something much beyond my capabilities. Some questions...
1) Does it make sense to remove/replace one panel and not all panels?
2) How easy of a job would this be for a 96x30x24 tank?
3) Who the heck around here can/would do this for me?
