need a skimmer that sits outside the sump!

I think keeping it stock is a good idea. Mesh mods are really easy but modding something the day you get is just asking for bad karma to kick in.

I got an ETSS 800 skimmer outside of my sump. Took a while to tune it but it skims really well.

well, my wife doesnt know i ordered it yet "we have seperate bank accts thank god" but she prob will not be happy when I have to sit it next to the cabinet in the living room. I will have to plumb it outside of the stand and the skimmer is pretty big. So its gonna be all out in the open where everyone who walks in is gonna say "what the hell is that" but oh well. She will get over it
