Need suggestions on Skimmer Purchase.

Got it from glasscages.com
only bad thing about it is there is a 2" lip along the top because it is a tank and I am having to trip parts of it to get a good placement of my skimmer
but for around $150 including shipping you can't beat it.
I will take pics of it when I have my skimmer and everything in it before it goes in my stand

Just read don't get a downdraft skimmer
I wonder if I use a needle wheel pump if it will make it more efficent?
Has anyone tried this?
