You are correct. He even goes as far as part numbers at Lowes for some of the material.

You should rebuild the stand cabinet doors to match the height of the side cabinet doors. It doesn't matter that the cutout is smaller and it will make the doors blend in.

I did not think about that. Now I'm going to have to go back to Lowe's and buy some more material to redo the doors.
