New BRS replacement reactor containers! Sweet!

Am I the only one that didn't know brs had new awesome refill reactor containers?

These are great! Easier to see GFO tumble, and you don't use sponges with GFO!

I switched mine out today, added a little extra GFO, and added a little extra rox carbon in second reactor.

Took minutes to do, and clean up with be a breeze with only 2 sponges for ROX carbon (instead of 6 in old style).

Had mine for a couple months now. Wait till you try to take the top filter screen out...big PIA. But other than that, not bad.

That'd probably work. They have such close tolerances. Difficult to remove with a wet hand.

yea needle nose will work great i normally use these really big tweezers that i use to do stuff in my pico but if you dont have either at hand ive learned a little trick that works too wigle it slightly loose and push down on one side the other side should pop right up then just pull it right out

Edit: this also reminds me that im a week overdue to change out the media in my reactors lol

I have been using the sponges on the GFO is it ok to leave it out? I have the New BRS Dual GFO / Carbon?
also how about with the carbon ( Rox)

also how about with the carbon ( Rox)

Do you have the new refill container inserts? Look at my link and make sure as they don't come with BRS reactors.....you have to order separately.

I'm pretty sure that they do come with the stock unit now.

That sounds like the top cap you are referring to....the hard part to remove is the plastic separator under the top cap.

Yes, These are exactly what came with the New Dual reactor and I ordered a extra set also. . I just cleaned out and put in the 2nd set but I left the foam inserts in and it would be much easier to leave out if possible?

Don't use the foam pads with gfo!
